BTEC Level 3
Travel and Tourism
The Responsible Tourism Module Unit 12 is part of the Level 3 BTEC Travel and Tourism course. BTEC course are run by Edexcel based in the UK.
Who is it for?
This advanced course is ideal if you are considering a career in tourism management or senior roles in the travel industry as it covers topics such as handling air passengers, marketing, holiday representatives and customer services. The course also has practical elements and work experience components which makes this an excellent qualification for preparing you not just for university or higher study, but also real careers in the travel and tourism sector.
What will learners need?
4 GCSEs at grade C or above or other Level 2 qualification preferably at merit.
What is covered?
Learners will study modules including:
• Marketing
• Tourist destinations
• Handling air passengers
• Travel and tourism residential study visit
• Tour operations
expected to plan and participate in an overseas visit.
What can this course lead to?
You can go on to study for a HND/degree or related courses in hospitality, travel and tourism or work as a travel consultant, resort rep, member of a cabin crew, business travel consultant or hotel supervisor.
